The visual identity of an organization is crucial in conveying its philosophy, mission, and values to the target audience. In the case of the Zika Research and Innovation Center (ZRIC), the identity and logo play a fundamental role in promoting the institution's purpose and building a solid and trustworthy image. The symbology of ZRIC's visual identity is inspired by science and the continuous search for technological advancements in Zika research. The representation of various circles coming together in the shape of DNA and molecules symbolizes the integration of different areas of knowledge, such as biology, chemistry, physics, and engineering, working together to develop innovations and solutions in the fight against the Zika virus and its consequences. ZRIC's visual identity goes beyond the logo and encompasses all graphic elements that make up the institution's communication. In posters and other materials, one can notice the presence of dots that evoke the image of the virus observed through the microscope. These dots symbolize the complexity and depth of the research conducted by the center, as well as reinforce the importance of science and technology in the pursuit of innovative solutions. The chosen color palette, composed of blue and yellow-green, embodies these values and reinforces the center's brand identity.
