"My Generation" is a unique festival that operates with a certain degree of autonomy within Curtas, as it is organized and programmed by young teenagers, with a focus on attracting new audiences. The festival is the result of a collaboration between four secondary schools in the region and the Escola Superior de Media Artes e Design (ESMAD) from the Polytechnic of Porto, located in Vila do Conde. To represent the festival, the students were invited to individually create a poster that would capture the essence of "My Generation," and only one poster would be selected to represent the project. The primary objective of the poster was to reflect the spirit of the Z generation and remind them of the importance of being true to themselves, rather than creating a false persona based on the "perfect life" portrayed on social media platforms. The poster's message aimed to encourage people to embrace their uniqueness and to remind them that the true enjoyment in life comes from being different. The winning poster of the contest is a compelling piece of art that effectively conveys the message of the festival. The poster is a powerful reminder to the Z generation that it is okay to be different and to embrace one's individuality, rather than conforming to societal norms or online trends. Overall, "My Generation" is a remarkable initiative that serves to promote creativity, individuality, and self-expression among young people. This poster was the winner of the contest.
